The Yaesu G-5500DC is a precision azimuth-elevation (AZ/EL) antenna rotator system designed for accurate positioning of directional antenna arrays used in satellite communication, EME operation, and terrestrial VHF/UHF beam systems. Engineered for dual-axis antenna control, the G-5500DC enables independent rotation of antenna systems in both horizontal (azimuth) and vertical (elevation) planes—allowing real-time satellite tracking across low earth orbit (LEO) and geostationary platforms.

The system consists of dedicated azimuth (G-5500) and elevation (G-5500) drive units paired with a unified control console—providing smooth DC motor-driven positioning for directional antenna assemblies such as:

  • Cross-Yagi Arrays

  • Circularly Polarized Satellite Beams

  • EME Antenna Systems

  • VHF/UHF Directional Antennas

The G-5500DC supports mast-mounted antenna arrays with precise angular positioning—making it suitable for amateur satellite ground stations and fixed beam installations.
