Product Description: The ICOM IC-705 redefines portable amateur radio with its cutting-edge SDR (Software Defined Radio) architecture and all-mode, all-band capability in a lightweight, handheld-sized design. Drawing inspiration from ICOM’s flagship models — the IC-7300, IC-7610, and IC-9700 — the IC-705 delivers base-station performance in a truly portable form, perfect for field operations, DX expeditions, and everyday communication on the go.
All-Band, All-Mode Capability
- Covers HF/50/144/430 MHz bands in SSB, CW, RTTY, AM, FM, and DV (D-STAR) modes.
- Provides general receive coverage from 0.030–199.999 MHz and 400.000–470.000 MHz, including AM/FM broadcast, aircraft, and weather bands.
- Ideal for operators who demand maximum versatility in a compact station.
Powerful Yet Efficient Performance
- 10W RF output with external 13.8V DC supply or 5W with the included BP-272 Li-ion 2000mAh battery pack.
