The Yaesu FT5D is a next-generation dual-band VHF/UHF digital handheld transceiver designed for advanced amateur radio operators operating across both C4FM digital and analog FM modes. Supporting operation on the 2m and 70cm bands, the FT5D enables seamless communication across conventional FM repeaters and Yaesu System Fusion™ digital networks.

Delivering up to 5W RF output power, the FT5D provides reliable communication for portable, mobile, or emergency field deployments. Its dual-receive capability allows simultaneous monitoring of independent frequencies in digital or analog mode—making it suitable for network-linked digital voice operation and repeater monitoring.

Integrated built-in GPS receiver supports APRS® position reporting, waypoint navigation, and real-time location tracking. The FT5D also features Bluetooth® connectivity, enabling wireless headset support and smartphone pairing for remote operation via compatible applications.
