Designed as an upgrade to the popular FT-991, the FT-991A adds two major enhancements:

These provide immediate visual insight into band activity, making it faster and easier to locate and work signals across the spectrum.

The FT-991A covers all major Amateur Radio bands (HF/50/144/430 MHz) and supports a wide range of modes including SSB, CW, AM, FM, Packet, PSK31, RTTY, and C4FM. With 100W output on HF/6m and 50W on VHF/UHF, plus an internal automatic antenna tuner with 100-channel memory, this radio is built for serious, long-term operation.

Its rugged triple-conversion superheterodyne receiver, TI floating-point DSP, and selectable 3/6/15 kHz roofing filters provide top-tier signal handling and interference rejection — even in congested band conditions.

Despite its power and feature depth, the FT-991A maintains a compact form factor and intuitive touchscreen interface, making it an ideal choice for base, portable, or mobile setups.
