Equipped with a high-speed 32-bit IF DSP processing chain, the FT-991A enables advanced digital filtering including noise reduction (DNR), IF bandwidth control, contour filtering, and automatic notch filtering—enhancing signal clarity under weak-signal or high-interference conditions. The built-in 3.5-inch full-color touchscreen display with real-time waterfall spectrum scope allows for intuitive band monitoring and rapid signal identification during active operating conditions.

Supporting SSB, CW, AM, FM, C4FM Digital, RTTY, and PSK modes, and delivering up to 100W output on HF/6m and 50W on VHF/UHF, the FT-991A is optimized for voice, digital communication, satellite operation, APRS deployments, and fixed-station or transportable amateur radio setups.
