The Yaesu FT-65 is a rugged and high-output dual-band VHF/UHF handheld transceiver designed for dependable amateur radio communication across the 2m and 70cm bands. Supporting analog FM operation, the FT-65 enables reliable simplex and repeater-based communication in portable, mobile, or emergency field deployments.

Delivering up to 5W RF output power, the FT-65 provides enhanced communication range for routine repeater access and short-to-medium distance field operations. Its dual-band receive capability allows operators to monitor both VHF and UHF frequencies, offering greater operational flexibility across amateur networks.

Integrated tone signaling including CTCSS / DCS encoder-decoder, along with priority scan and VOX transmit functionality, ensures compatibility with coordinated analog repeater infrastructures. The FT-65 also supports weather alert monitoring, making it suitable for emergency communication setups.

Built with a die-cast aluminum chassis, the FT-65 provides improved durability and efficient thermal dissipation during extended operation in demanding environments.
