The Yaesu FT-4X is a compact and lightweight dual-band VHF/UHF handheld transceiver designed for dependable everyday amateur radio communication across the 2m and 70cm bands. Supporting analog FM operation, the FT-4X enables reliable simplex and repeater-based communication for portable, mobile, or backup HT deployments.

Delivering up to 5W RF output power, the FT-4X provides sufficient transmission range for routine repeater access and short-to-medium range field communication. Its dual-band receive capability allows operators to monitor both VHF and UHF frequencies for improved communication flexibility across networks.

Integrated tone signaling including CTCSS / DCS encoder-decoder, along with priority scanning and VOX hands-free transmission support, ensures compatibility with coordinated analog repeater infrastructures and emergency communication setups.

The FT-4X supports up to 200 programmable memory channels, allowing efficient channel organization for repeater networks and field communication environments. Rechargeable Li-ion battery support with desktop charging ensures convenient day-to-day usability for amateur operators.
