The TYT TH-UV98 is a rugged dual-band VHF/UHF analog FM handheld transceiver designed for reliable amateur radio communication across the 2m and 70cm bands. Built with an IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof enclosure, the TH-UV98 is suitable for outdoor field deployments, portable communication setups, and emergency operation environments.

Delivering up to 10W RF output power, the TH-UV98 supports stable simplex and repeater-based communication for everyday amateur radio use. Its dual-display and dual-standby receiver architecture allows simultaneous monitoring of independent VHF and UHF frequencies—making it suitable for coordinated repeater communication and portable operations.

Integrated tone signaling including CTCSS / DCS encoder-decoder, along with VOX hands-free transmit support and priority scanning functionality, ensures compatibility with coordinated analog repeater infrastructures and mobile communication workflows.

Rechargeable Li-ion battery support with desktop charging ensures convenient day-to-day usability, while PC-programmable configuration allows quick frequency and channel setup through software.
