Delivering up to 10W of transmit power, this dual-band transceiver offers enhanced communication range compared to conventional 5W HTs, making it suitable for both urban repeater access and field deployments.

Its integrated dual-watch receiver architecture allows simultaneous monitoring of VHF and UHF frequencies, ensuring you never miss important communication across networks. The built-in cross-band repeat capability enables the TH-UV8800 to function as a compact relay node—extending the operational range between handheld radios and base/mobile stations during portable operations.

Supporting up to 200 programmable memory channels, along with CTCSS/DCS tone signaling, the radio is fully compatible with coordinated analog repeater infrastructures. Additional features such as VOX transmit activation, reverse frequency function, and programmable scan modes provide operational flexibility for emergency communication setups or portable amateur deployments.
