The TYT TH-UV88 is engineered to deliver reliable dual-band communication in a lightweight handheld form factor. Supporting amateur frequency ranges of 136–174 MHz and 400–480 MHz, the transceiver provides stable analog FM performance for both local simplex contacts and coordinated repeater networks.

With up to 5W RF output power, the TH-UV88 ensures sufficient transmission range for everyday amateur radio use, including emergency communication scenarios and portable field operations. The integrated dual-watch receiver enables operators to monitor two active frequencies simultaneously—ideal for tracking repeater traffic while maintaining simplex communication.

Supporting up to 200 programmable memory channels, along with CTCSS/DCS tone signaling, the TH-UV88 is compatible with most analog repeater infrastructures. Additional features such as VOX hands-free transmit, priority scanning, and reverse frequency function provide operational flexibility in mobile or portable deployments.

Rechargeable Li-ion battery support with desktop charging ensures convenient day-to-day usability, while PC-programmable configuration allows quick setup of frequency channels through software.
