The Quansheng UV-K5(8) is a compact and versatile dual-band VHF/UHF handheld transceiver designed for amateur radio operators who require flexible frequency coverage and portable everyday communication. Supporting operation across the 2m and 70cm amateur bands, the UV-K5(8) enables stable analog FM communication for both simplex and repeater-based networks.

Delivering up to 5W RF output power, the UV-K5(8) provides dependable transmission capability for routine repeater access and short-to-medium range field operations. Its dual-display and dual-standby receiver architecture allows simultaneous monitoring of independent frequencies across VHF and UHF bands.

In addition to amateur band operation, the UV-K5(8) features AM Airband receive support (RX Only), allowing monitoring of aviation band communication alongside standard amateur radio activity. Integrated features such as DTMF signaling, VOX transmit activation, and programmable scanning functions provide enhanced operational flexibility in portable communication setups.

Rechargeable Li-ion battery support with USB Type-C charging ensures convenient day-to-day usability, while PC-programmable configuration allows quick setup of frequency channels for field deployment.
