The ICOM ID-52A-Plus is a premium dual-band VHF/UHF digital handheld transceiver designed for advanced amateur radio communication across both D-STAR digital voice and conventional analog FM modes. Operating on the 2m and 70cm amateur bands, the ID-52A-Plus enables seamless interoperability between analog repeater networks and global D-STAR digital communication infrastructure.

Delivering up to 5W RF output power, the ID-52A-Plus supports reliable communication in portable or mobile deployments. Its true dual-watch receiver architecture allows simultaneous monitoring of independent frequencies across analog or digital modes—making it suitable for repeater linking, reflector monitoring, or hotspot-based digital communication.

Integrated built-in GPS enables position reporting and location-based repeater search, while Bluetooth® connectivity supports wireless headset pairing and smartphone integration for remote control through compatible mobile applications.

The large 2.3-inch full-color display provides intuitive access to memory channels, D-STAR DR mode operation, and band scope functionality. With SD card support, operators can store QSO logs, GPS logs, voice recordings, and configuration data for quick backup and deployment across communication setups.
