The YAESU FT-710 AESS is a compact HF + 50 MHz direct-sampling SDR transceiver engineered to provide contest-grade receiver performance with stable 100W RF output in a modern base station platform. Incorporating SDR technology derived from the FTDX-101 architecture, the FT-710 AESS features a high-speed RF front-end and digital signal processing chain designed to improve strong-signal handling, reduce intermodulation distortion, and enhance signal intelligibility under weak-signal or high-QRM conditions.

Equipped with advanced 32-bit IF DSP processing, the transceiver supports digital filtering functions including noise reduction (DNR), IF bandwidth/shift control, contour filtering, and automatic notch filtering for optimized signal clarity. The integrated 4.3-inch full-color touchscreen display with real-time 3D spectrum scope enables continuous band monitoring and rapid signal acquisition during contesting, DX, or digital HF operation.

The AESS (Acoustic Enhanced Speaker System) configuration includes the matched SP-40 external high-fidelity speaker, improving receive audio response and enhancing long-duration monitoring comfort in fixed-station environments.
