Running up to 10W RF output with an external 13.8VDC supply, and a solid 6W stand-alone using the included SBR-52LI 10.8V 6400mAh Li-ion battery, the FTX-1 Field is ideal for portable HF, VHF, and UHF operation. Operators can enjoy 8–9 hours of typical activity thanks to its efficient 6-6-48 duty cycle performance. Charging is simple and flexible — use a standard 13.8V power source or modern USB-C PD (45W or greater, 15V/2A) for on-the-go convenience.

With full SSB, CW, AM, FM, and C4FM operation, plus simultaneous receive and true dual-band capabilities, the FTX-1 Field is built to support everything from casual ragchews to emergency comms, FT8 work, APRS® data, WIRES-X (available Aug 2025), and CW-focused operation. A familiar Yaesu interface combined with a FUNC dial, PRESET mode, memory scope, and VFO status indicator provides smooth, efficient control in the field.
